Welcome to Gridiron Football Houston, the leading youth flag football program in the State! We are excited to have your family participating this season, and promise to provide a safe, developmental, and fun environment, where every kid plays! All league champions receive Custom Rings, Recognition, and a bid/invite to participate in Nationals G Series.

Flag Football provides the safest and most effective way for boys and girls to learn skill development, and competition in the sport. Great for every age-level to learn skills and ability. Flag football is fast-paced and exciting with minimal contact. The 5v5 to 7v7 format (dependent on overall roster size) promotes learning of the game, agility, and teamwork!

Important Season Dates

Off Season Early Bird Registration : April 30th to August 31st, 2025 - Price $100

Regular Registration Period : September 1st to October 18th - Price $125

Late Registration: October 19th to October 31st - $135

A $6.99 Participant Accident Insurance fee will be automatically added to all registrations. Participant Accident Insurance provided up to $25,000 secondary insurance encase your player gets injured on the field.

Game Time on Saturdays:

First games to begin at 9am

Will start with the youngest age group each week

Age Divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U

Age Cutoff: December 1, 2024 (On/Before this Date determine division eligibility)

Important Season Details:

The Player receives a Gridiron Jersey, Shorts and flag belt (will receive during a practice or on opening day).

Head Coach sets practice time/location.

6-game season includes the playoffs (8 teams max per division)

5 v 5 to 7v7 format (depending on registration numbers) on a 25-30 yd wide x 50 yd long field with 5 to 10yd end zones

Pass Rush allowed (defender starts 8-10 yards back depending on division), 5 to 7-second pass clock based on division

4 - 10 minutes quarters

One weekly practice to be held by coaches outside of the games played (location/time set by coach)

NO Tryouts. NO Drafts. Rosters are formed by "friend" or "coach" request. Single players will be placed on teams with some similarity and familiarity such as same school, neighborhood, organization, etc. as the other players on the team.

Championship Rings and Medals are awarded to the Champions and runner up to each age division

Games played Sat Mornings (when possible)

· ALL COACH POSITIONS ARE VOLUNTEERS. GRIDIRON FOOTBALL DOES NOT PROVIDE COACHES (There are no refunds because a team is without a coach.)

· A Child Can Age Up to the next Division but not Age Down

· Locations, Schedules, and Dates are subject to change due the weather and/or the venue being rented by Gridiron.

· THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. If an age group does not have enough participants to make at least four teams, the format will change to a camp/clinic. That way, the kids will still learn the game and no team coach will be needed as the camp will be handled by staff.

· Rosters can be altered up until uniforms are ordered. New players can be added. Rosters will be made 14 to 16 days before opening day and coaches will notify their teams. If no coach has volunteered, the team will be contacted that a coach is needed.

· Divisions can be combined to complete team rosters and increase the number of opponents.

*Volunteer to coach as soon as possible. Coaches get to choose the team color if they volunteer before rosters are made. You can also start practices before the season begins. It is best to go through the volunteer process 30 days before opening day. “Head” coaches will also get discounts for future seasons.
